While I was preparing for CCWC...

1. My Doc would not renew prescription over the phone so spent an hour of time at her office.

2. Walgreens did not receive faxed prescription so I had to return later.

3. Toilet clogged and overflowed. My DH rescued me there.

4. Dropped an entire cooler full of bottled water – a mess

5. Fan fell apart. It was old.

6. “Better than Lather” spilled all over my travel bag. Soooo much lather I finally ended up throwing it in the wash.

7. Still do not have reservations. Phone tag with the reservationist.

8. Ink ran out while printing one- sheets.

9. No appointments set up with editors/agents.

I can’t wait to see what God is going to do. Obviously, the enemy is going his best to sabotage me, but he is not going to win.

I imagine those who are going to CCWC are experiencing all sorts of distractions. Please keep us in your prayers this week. God has something awesome cooking!

Specifically:

· Traveling protection

· Wellness – I’m fighting something off

· Divine appointments

· Wisdom and Direction

· My MIL while I’m gone

· God will use me while I’m here

Come Tweet With Me!

When I first learned about Twitter, the thought of another online group or activity was more than I could bear. Understanding my need to cut back, my BFF, Michele, talked me into Twittering while we were having coffee one day. As sure as I love Starbucks, you count on the fact that Michele has a gazillion projects going. She showed me how I could actually save time while introducing this new phenomenon – and she should know.

How does Twitter save time?

1. I send out one tweet (via text message from my phone) and all my followers get it at the same time. This saves me from texting each person individually. When my dear, sweet, grand baby was born, I twittered her progress all night long. That’s when I learned how invaluable Twitter is.

2. I’ve set my tweets to automatically update my Facebook profile so I don’t have to check in with FB each day. Now I check it weekly or just when I want to check friends’ updates.

3. I stay in touch with my network and blog less frequently so I have more time.

Other benefits of Twitter:

• I tweet my new blog postings to get more traffic.
• Twitter is easy – real easy. I signed up in less than ten minutes. I even signed up my 70-year-old mom and she tweets now too.
• Takes less time than blogging so I can stay in touch with more of my peeps.
• I twitter right from my phone - so I can tweet from anywhere I have service. I can also log in to my Twitter home page and tweet from my laptop.
• It's free!

Colorado Chrisitan Writers Conference 2009

Last year, I had the privileged of attending the Colorado Christian Writers Conference and it was life changing. Surrounded by the grandeur of the Rocky Mountains, God spoke to my heart and redirected my writing. In fact, I've reaped the benefits from it all year long. If I find I’m out of focus, I refer back to the direction He gave me and I’m able to get back on track.

The theme this year is: Write His Answer. Isn’t that what we all long for? It’s not too late to sign up. Ask God, if He wants you to be there.

I can’t wait to sit in on these general session topics:
